Land Gate (Porta di Terra)
The fortified land entrance to old Nafplio, rebuilt in 1708 by Venetian engineers with a moat and drawbridge. Once the only way into the walled town by land, it was locked each night and still carries the Lion of Saint Mark above its arch.
