Church of Saint Spyridon

Church of Saint Spyridon, Nafplio

A small early-18th-century Orthodox church on a narrow lane in old Nafplio, famous as the place where Ioannis Kapodistrias, the first governor of independent Greece, was assassinated in 1831. A bullet mark by the door still marks the spot.
