Acronauplia
The oldest fortified part of Nafplio, crowning the rocky peninsula above the old town. Its walls span layers of ancient Greek, Byzantine, Frankish, Venetian, and Ottoman building, and it later served as a prison before becoming a quiet height with sweeping views.
