Berat, Albania
Holy Trinity Church

This early-fourteenth-century Byzantine church at the southern corner of Berat Castle is linked to Andronikos Angelos Palaiologos as its patron during the Palaiologan Renaissance. Its dates are disputed: thirteen hundred and two to thirteen twenty-six according to the article about the church, and thirteen twenty-seven to thirteen twenty-eight according to his biography. It is distinguished by its interwoven stone and brick masonry, known as opus mixtum, columns reused from an earlier temple, and restored frescoes.
