Weiyang Palace

Weiyang Palace was the Han dynasty's seat of power, begun in 200 BCE under Emperor Gaozu and his minister Xiao He. Once enormous, it governed China for centuries before falling to ruin. Today its rammed-earth platforms survive as a UNESCO-listed archaeological park.
