Qinglong Temple
First founded in 582 and named Green Dragon Temple in 711, this Tang sanctuary is where the master Huiguo taught Vajrayana to the Japanese monk Kukai, who carried it home to found Shingon Buddhism. Now rebuilt amid cherry trees.
