The Qianling Mausoleum, built from 684 on Mount Liang, holds Tang Emperor Gaozong and Wu Zetian, China's only female emperor. A spirit way lined with stone beasts and officials leads past 61 headless envoy statues and a famous blank stele to a tomb still unexcavated.
