# Huaqing Pool

Xian, China

A Tang imperial hot-spring palace at the foot of Mount Li, rebuilt by Emperor Xuanzong in 723. Famed as the setting of his romance with Yang Guifei, it later witnessed the 1936 Xi'an Incident, when Chiang Kai-shek was seized here.
