Wellington Cathedral of St Paul

This Anglican cathedral near Parliament had its foundation stone laid in 1954; construction began in 1955, and it was completed in 1998. Designed by Cecil Wood in a blend of Art Deco and Neo-Byzantine forms, its pink reinforced-concrete nave, stained glass and arches replaced Old Saint Paul's as the mother church in 1964.
