# Newtown

Wellington, New Zealand

Newtown is Wellington's most diverse inner suburb, a lively multicultural neighbourhood that grew from 1879 around the new tram line. Home to Wellington Hospital, Wellington Zoo and a huge free street festival, it mixes Victorian villas, migrant communities and a busy main thoroughfare.
