Mount Victoria
Rising 196 metres east of the city centre, this Town Belt hill offers a 360 degree panorama over Wellington, its harbour and the Miramar Peninsula. Known to Maori as Matairangi, its summit holds a lookout, a memorial to Antarctic explorer Richard Byrd, and forest trails.
