Nymphaeum, the Water Sanctuary (Apollonia)
This large rectangular fountain and water sanctuary dates from the third century BC and is dedicated to the nymphs. Fed by underground springs and supported by massive walls at the foot of the sacred terrace, it is one of Apollonia's largest pre-Roman monuments.
