East of the Monument of Agonothetes stands a single Roman complex on Hellenistic terraces. It comprises a hall with niches carved into the wall, interpreted as a library, a building for the city's officials and a small temple dedicated to the goddess Artemis. These names rest as much on interpretation as on the surviving stones.
