Campo Santo Stefano

Campo Santo Stefano, Venice

One of the largest and liveliest squares in San Marco, near the Accademia bridge. Ringed by palaces and cafés and watched over by an 1882 statue of the patriot Niccolò Tommaseo, it was once a venue for public bull-baiting.
