Malvarrosa Beach

Valencia's broad city beach, a long stretch of golden sand and palm-lined promenade behind the old fishermen's quarters. Named after a fragrant geranium once farmed here, it drew the painter Sorolla to its light and remains the city's favourite place by the sea.
