# Bab Saadoun

A medina gate first built around 1350 with a single narrow arch, named for the pious 15th-century figure Sidi Bou Saadoun. Rebuilt in 1881 with three arches to ease growing traffic, it now stands as a freestanding monument amid the roads of Tunis.
