Distillery District

Distillery District, Toronto

North America's best-preserved collection of Victorian industrial architecture, this 13-acre quarter grew from the Gooderham and Worts distillery begun in 1837. Closed in 1990 and reborn in 2003, its cobblestone lanes now hold galleries, cafes, and theatres.
