# Resurrection of Christ Cathedral

Tirana, Albania

The old Orthodox cathedral was torn down in nineteen sixty-seven, when Albania was proclaimed the world's first atheist state. The new cathedral, designed by Steven P. Papadatos, was consecrated on the twenty-fourth of June, twenty twelve, as a symbol of the return of faith.
