Vlatades Monastery
A 14th-century Byzantine monastery high in the Upper Town, founded by disciples of Gregory Palamas and still active today. Its terraced gardens command sweeping views over the city and the Thermaic Gulf, and it belongs to the UNESCO-listed monuments of Thessaloniki.
