# Arch of Galerius (Kamara)

A Roman triumphal arch raised around the year 303 to celebrate the emperor Galerius and his victory over the Sassanid Persians. Once an eight-pillared gateway across the Via Egnatia, its surviving marble piers still carry vivid battle reliefs.
