Khalef al-Fata Tower

The Khalef al-Fata Tower is the great square watchtower of Sousse, raised by the Aghlabids in 859 with the city walls. Rising from the kasbah on the medina's summit, it served as a beacon signaling ships, the town, and inland watchtowers.
