Sintra Mountains
A granite range running about 16 kilometres from Sintra to the Atlantic at Cabo da Roca, rising to around 528 metres at Cruz Alta. Known to antiquity as the Mountain of the Moon, its misty microclimate shelters rich and partly endemic plant life.
