# Rio de Mouro

Sintra, Portugal

A populous town and parish in Sintra municipality, roughly fifteen kilometres from Lisbon. Its name means river of the Moor, and its sixteenth-century church survives among the apartment blocks of a town that grew rapidly with the capital's expansion.
