Marubi National Photography Museum
The oldest photographic archive in the Balkans was founded in eighteen fifty-six by the Italian Pjetër Marubi, whose work was continued by three generations of the Marubi family. It preserves nearly five hundred thousand negatives that document one hundred and thirty years of Albanian life and are included in UNESCO's Memory of the World Register.
