Drisht Castle
The ruins of the medieval city of Drivastum lie ten kilometres northeast of Shkodër. For a thousand years, the city was a religious, commercial and military centre of northern Albania. After the Ottoman conquest of fourteen seventy-eight, it was left to fall into ruin and was never rebuilt.
