# Baptistery with Mosaics (Butrint)

This is one of the most richly decorated early Christian baptisteries in the Balkans, built over Roman baths, with a baptismal font at its centre and an extensive mosaic floor with geometric and plant motifs. Today, the floor is often covered with sand for protection.
