Roman Forum and Nymphaeum (Butrint)

At Butrint's Roman civic centre, the forum square with its colonnaded galleries was laid out after Rome demolished parts of the Hellenistic walls. Beside it, only a broken basin and ruined walls remain of the nymphaeum, a monumental fountain dedicated to the nymphs, above the layers of the older city.
