Martinelli Building, Sao Paulo

One of Brazil's first skyscrapers, begun in 1924, partially inaugurated in 1929, and completed ten years later by Italian immigrant Giuseppe Martinelli. Rising 28 floors and 105 metres, it was once the tallest building in Latin America and the largest concrete-framed structure on earth.
