Uranga–Sylvestre Begnis Subfluvial Tunnel, Santa Fe

Opened in 1969, this pioneering tunnel runs beneath the Paraná River to link Santa Fe and Entre Ríos provinces. Built from immersed tube sections, the roughly 2400-meter crossing was a landmark of Argentine engineering and once the first of its kind in the country.
