Templo de la Concepcion (Las Monjas), San Miguel de Allende

Known affectionately as Las Monjas, the Templo de la Concepcion served a Conceptionist convent founded in the 18th century. Its towering dome, added in 1891 by Zeferino Gutierrez and inspired by Les Invalides in Paris, crowns one of San Miguel de Allende's most striking silhouettes.
