This 18th-century Baroque townhouse was the birthplace of Ignacio Allende, the cavalry officer who helped launch Mexican independence in 1810. Now a history museum, it preserves period rooms and revolutionary relics, marked by a corner plaque reading "Hic natus ubique notus."
