Olodum (Pelourinho)
Olodum is the celebrated Afro-Brazilian carnival group founded in Pelourinho in 1979. It pioneered the samba-reggae sound, ran a school for local youth, and brought the drums of Salvador to the world through Michael Jackson and Paul Simon.
