Itapagipe Peninsula
A low peninsula reaching into the Bay of All Saints, holding ten neighborhoods and some of Salvador's most loved landmarks, including the Bonfim church, the Penha church, and the Monte Serrat monastery. Its Tupi name means place of the stone in the river.
