Hospital Bastion and Gate
Rothenburg's mightiest gate, a star-shaped artillery bastion completed in 1546 as the last major addition to the town's defences. Designed by Leonhard Weidmann, its layered gates and turns carry the welcoming motto Pax intrantibus, salus exeuntibus.
