Rome, Italy
San Lorenzo

A working-class quarter beside Termini and the Sapienza university, built in the 1880s for railway and building workers. Heavily bombed in 1943, fiercely anti-fascist by tradition, it is now a gritty student and nightlife district full of bars and street art.
