Fort Copacabana

Built between 1908 and 1914 at the southern tip of Copacabana beach, this coastal fortress once guarded Rio's harbor with massive Krupp cannons. Site of the famous 1922 tenente revolt, it now houses the Army Historical Museum and offers sweeping beach views.
