Founded in 1997 by Aron Hasson, the Jewish Museum of Rhodes occupies former prayer rooms beside the Kahal Shalom Synagogue. Through photographs and objects it preserves the Sephardic life of the old Jewish quarter and the community destroyed in the 1944 deportation to Auschwitz.
