Ramparts of Quebec City

The only fortified city walls still standing in North America, ringing Old Quebec for roughly 4.6 kilometres. Rebuilt by French and British engineers across the 18th and 19th centuries, with stone gates and bastions preserved by Lord Dufferin in the 1870s.
