# Yavarí Steamship

Puno, Peru

Built in England and carried over the Andes in thousands of mule-borne pieces, the iron steamship Yavarí was launched on Lake Titicaca in 1870. Among the oldest surviving lake steamers afloat, it is now a restored museum vessel moored at Puno harbor.
