Portuguese Centre of Photography

Portugal's national photography centre occupies the Cadeia da Relação, an eighteenth-century courthouse and prison where the novelist Camilo Castelo Branco was once held. Exhibitions of historic and contemporary photography now fill the granite halls behind its barred windows.
