Toplec Quarter

Pogradec's oldest residential quarter lies on the slope above the lakeshore. Its stone houses with tiled roofs are more than two centuries old. The poet Lasgush Poradeci and the writer Mitrush Kuteli were born here, and it is home to one of the first schools to teach in Albanian.
