Wat Phra Thong
In Thalang stands Wat Phra Thong, home to a half-buried golden Buddha called Luang Poh Phra Thong. Legend says villagers could never dig the figure free, so a temple rose around the buried image, which is tied to the Burmese invasion of 1785.
