Bang Niao Shrine
Bang Niao Shrine, one of Phuket's five oldest Chinese temples, anchors the island's Nine Emperor Gods festival. Born of a 19th-century tale of an ailing opera troupe cured by fasting and prayer, it sends one of the festival's two largest processions through the streets.
