Café Procope

Founded in 1686 by the Sicilian Francesco Procopio dei Coltelli, the Procope is often called the oldest café in Paris. Voltaire, Diderot and the revolutionaries debated beneath its chandeliers; it now serves classic French dishes in eighteenth-century rooms.
