Dow's Lake

Dow's Lake is a man-made reservoir on the Rideau Canal, created in the 1830s when a dam flooded a marshy area once called Dow's Great Swamp. Today its shores host the Tulip Festival's spring blooms, Winterlude skating, and a busy lakeside pavilion of restaurants and boat rentals.
