Opened in 1971 around the Bayer family's vast private collection, this museum near the Hauptmarkt celebrates Nuremberg's centuries-old reputation as a toy-making city. Four floors trace play from carved wood and painted tin to dollhouses, model railways, Lego and Playmobil.
