Grand Central Terminal

Grand Central Terminal, opened in 1913, is a Beaux-Arts railway masterwork in Midtown Manhattan. Its vast main concourse shelters a painted celestial ceiling and a four-faced brass clock, and a 1970s preservation fight saved it from demolition.
