A faithful re-creation of a traditional Naramachi townhouse, the Koshi-no-ie lets visitors step inside an Edo-style machiya. Narrow at the front and deep behind, it keeps its wooden lattice, earthen kitchen, inner garden, and box staircase. Admission is free.
