# Nara Station

Opened in 1890, the JR Nara Station serves the Yamatoji, Nara, and Manyo Mahoroba lines from elevated platforms. Beside the modern station, its striking 1934 building, blending Western and Japanese temple styles, survives as a much-loved tourist information centre.
