# Manyo Botanical Garden

Opened in 1932 beside Kasuga Taisha, this is Japan's oldest Manyo garden. Across roughly three hectares it grows about 300 plants named in the Manyoshu, Japan's earliest poetry anthology, alongside more than 200 wisteria trees that bloom each spring.
